Welcome to the White Horse

Bookended by the dramatically mirroring arches of Exchange Square, one of Central London’s largest public spaces, The White Horse is a little piece of splendour perched in the historic thoroughfare for Liverpool Street, Spitalifields, Bishopgate, Moorgate and beyond.

An authentic city pub with a stylish twist, the ideal place to linger over a delicious breakfast, take a well-earned lunch away from your desk or set the world to rights with friends once the day is done.  Our stunning winter terrace overlooking the vibrant Exchange Square comes complete with heaters, fluffy throws and cosy pillows, making it the perfect spot to let your imagination run wild of al fresco dining in the alps..

If that wasn’t enough to make you pop in during the week, we also serve a Saturday brunch that is already famous in The City. Our chefs delight with innovative dishes and perfectly paired drinks.  Let’s be honest, we really are the full package so why go anywhere else?

Love to feast?

We are proud to be British pub, and love to work with exceptional local suppliers!  This means some of the finest produce from British farms and fishermen alike make their way onto our menu, and are given an innovative twist in our Head Chef’s true fashion.  Our ‘Feast Sharers’ are a real must-try when dining with a big group of mates!

A menu bursting with flavour

Our menu is packed with hearty belly warmers such as our slow cooked venison stew with pearl barley or wild boar sausages served with clapshot mash, there really is something for everyone. Our ‘Feast Sharers’ are a real must-try when dining with a big group of mates!

Parties and Weddings in the City

In the heart of London, with Liverpool Street and Moorgate Stations around the corner, The White Horse is a stunning setting for a picturesque London wedding.  With a wonderful selection of fine wines and real ales, expertly paired with a seasonal menu, there is no better place to raise your first toast as a newlywed couple.

Today's weather The perfect day to people watch from our terrace overlooking Exchange Square!

We had our wedding reception here and can’t express how wonderful they made it. The White Horse on the weekend is a cracking venue, Liverpool Street is quiet which makes for a fantastic chilled wedding setting.. All our guests complimented the food both in the daytime wedding breakfast and the evening buffet which tied into a great recommended wine selection to boot. Thank you the White Horse for making our day so special!

Fantastic Wedding

We had a fantastic party at The White Horse – wonderful staff and great food – thank you so much for a brilliant evening.

Perfect birthday party

The staff and management at The White Horse could not be any more helpful if they tried. Great food served very quickly to 30+ people, great location, and an excellent selection of beers/lagers/ciders/wines. Great atmosphere in the evening, nice outside heated terrace and plenty of space inside.

Work Christmas meal

I visit the White Horse quite regularly, as it has a nice cozy atmosphere, even within the City buzz. Pub-food, generally, and some salads and starters with a twist, which are overall tasty and fresh.

Service is brilliant! Recommended for a nice lunch or relaxed drinks.
