Welcome to the White Horse

Bookended by the dramatically mirroring arches of Exchange Square, one of Central London’s largest public spaces, The White Horse is a little piece of splendour perched in the historic thoroughfare for Liverpool Street, Spitalfields, Bishopsgate, Moorgate and beyond.

 Having had a spruce up to bring you something more elegant, cosy and modern, Exchange Square’s secret little gem is back with a selective wine list, gorgeous small plates and a team that will look after you from the moment you walk in.

We are now open on Saturdays so whether it’s drinks with friends, dining experience with the loved ones or simply a pit stop on your way back home via Liverpool Street, make sure you pay us a visit.

We had literally the most wonderful day at The White Horse! A family reunion after COVID! The pub looks gorgeous and we had a brilliant table. Nicholas and all the staff made us all feel so welcome and could not have been more friendly! I love a Youngs’ Pub and The White Horse reminded me of all the reasons why: brilliant atmosphere, amazing staff, lovely food, great choice of drinks and FEELS LIKE HOME! We stayed for hours and didn’t want to leave!

Family reunion

Recently spent an evening at The White Horse, well what was supposed to be an afternoon but we were having such a lovely time we decided to stay on into the evening. First let me start by saying the decor and atmosphere of The White Horse will win you over the moment you step foot inside the pub, it’s warm and welcoming charm paired with the friendly and helpful staff make it an immediate 10/10. Throughout our time our group was looked after by a few staff members, who were all professional and prompt, one in particular who I’d like to say a personal thank you to was a man named Nico, he was extremely attentive and ensured every single need of ours was met (especially mine as I am the fussy eater/drinker and he catered for all my needs so thank you Nico!) We ate, we drank, we laughed & we didn’t have to spend an arm and a leg (so if you’re after a lovely time with delicious food but don’t want to spend your house deposit this is a great choice) I’ll end by saying we will absolutely be back and I recommend putting this place on your “must go” list.

A ‘must go’

We had our wedding reception here and can’t express how wonderful they made it. The White Horse on the weekend is a cracking venue, Liverpool Street is quiet which makes for a fantastic chilled wedding setting.. All our guests complimented the food both in the daytime wedding breakfast and the evening buffet which tied into a great recommended wine selection to boot. Thank you the White Horse for making our day so special!

Perfect birthday party

The staff and management at The White Horse could not be any more helpful if they tried. Great food served very quickly to 30+ people, great location, and an excellent selection of beers/lagers/ciders/wines. Great atmosphere in the evening, nice outside heated terrace and plenty of space inside.

Work Christmas meal

I visit the White Horse quite regularly, as it has a nice cozy atmosphere, even within the City buzz. Pub-food, generally, and some salads and starters with a twist, which are overall tasty and fresh.

Service is brilliant! Recommended for a nice lunch or relaxed drinks.
